LANGDALE PIKES

A good morning out all on my own.  I wanted to go to Hayes Garden World to  have a look at something for a birthday present so went there first this morning.   It was very very quiet and sadly they didn't have what I wanted.  

I decided to go onto Chesters by the River for coffee and then went on a short walk along the River Brathay.  I didn't go all the way to Elterwater today.  Wonderful scenery and it was fairly quiet.  Although as I was coming away about midday it was beginning to get busier.  

The weather was not as cold as it has been but it was sunny and cloudy and no rain.  I do love the quietness of January, when the weather is reasonable.  I'm not a summer person at all, love the Autumn and nice days in the winter and then Spring.
