"Winter Aconites"

Eranthis hiemalis, just breaking through the soil surface. The small stems just bearing a "ruff" of leaves and a small yellow daisy like flower. They do not last long if a few sunny days occur. Tend to naturalise better in grass rather than cultivated soil.
