Caledonian Brewery Site, Shandon

The very prominent and I think somewhat attractive red brick buildings of the Caledonian Brewery have been on this site since 1869.  I pass it enroute to bowling.

The brewery was originally called 'Lorimer and Clark's Caledonian Brewery'.  Lormier and Clark the names of the founders and Caledonian after the railway line which forms the boundary.

The brewery closed a couple of years ago although Belhaven still brews the Scottish brands like Deuchers IPA.

A very good result in the Triples League today with a 24 - 4 win ..... that doesn't happen often!
