Coming out shower

As forecast we had very heavy rain last night and during my walk this morning so the photo opportunities were few and far between. The other day i had noticed that the larch cones were pretty much mature now although they still held on to their touch of mahogany and were looking quite splendid. Here is one I found today, glistening after the shower. I had to crop this quite heavily as the surrounding larch needles were covered in rain droplets and although pretty to the naked eye, they looked messy in the photo.

The sun has now come out and everything in the garden is rosy - and refreshed!
