Skaill Knife

A work blip today. Going through a reference collection that I'll be using for a session of our Young Archaeologists Club soon.

This is a Skaill Knife, Neolithic in date, a simple handheld stone blade created by striking  a flake from a large, rounded cobble.

A lovely thing.
