Welcome Buttersnap

My daughter's been going through a very tough patch lately. Not a lot is bringing her joy. Yesterday I picked up a little bunny for her as she's been pining for our old bunny (taken by a fox).

This is Buttersnap named for the cookie whose colour she resembles. She lives in a hutch in my daughter's room and tonight for once she actually put herself to sleep next to her bunny. I poked my head in and she's smiling quietly to herself.

If this bunny brings a moment of happiness to my darling troubled 8 year old it's already a treasure to me.
