New term for art class and MAC

An enjoyable, busy day doing art. Bianca's class was a chance to give my new soft pastels a go. Delighted with the results; I completed a beautiful snow landscape with trees, both in the distance and foreground, which gave it perspective. 

MAC was good. Some new people attended which was a welcome surprise, as well as a chance to see and catch up with our pals whom we see weekly. Lots of discussion about the 30 day challenge which everyone was keen on, and enthusiasm about the new term of activities. I completed the blip cup-cake as today's 30 day challenge.

I received some very sad news yesterday about a good uni friend. He is a couple of years younger than me and is always the light and soul of every get together. His children are still at uni and will miss out on his guiding hand. Such a shame for his lovely family. Living in Norway he is too far to visit. It is difficult to know what to do for the best. I shall buy a card in town tomorrow.
