Very, very, cold
My human doesn't think she's ever known it so cold in Cornwall. Obviously she must have done, but she can't remember. When I went out first thing this morning the world was covered in frost. I had to go out early because Ann was going to her first Zumba class of 2024 at 9am so it was still dark when we went out and she slipped and nearly fell down on our walkway because it was so frosty. Ann can't remember our walkway being covered in frost before. I love frost. As soon as I got into the field I rolled on my back. Rolling on my back on frosty grass is as nice as rolling on sand.
Going to Zumba warmed Ann up so when she came home, she said, 'Trixie, it's not that cold. Let's go and see our friend Jacqui and then I'll take you down the beach for a play.' Sometimes Ann lies to me. Jacqui only lives 10 mins away but we froze on the walk there. Fortunately it was lovely and warm in Jacqui's house and guess what she had for me?..................... biscuits. Yum! Proper human biscuits. I got two. Yay! Jacqui always gives me nice little treats and all I had to do to get them was sit nicely. Jacqui had put blankets on all the sofa's for me too so I was allowed to sit wherever I wanted. How nice was that?!
Afterwards I went for a play and there was only one other person on the whole of the beach. Not sure if that was because there's no holiday makers about or whether it was too cold for anyone else to come out. I didn't care. I had a lovely time running about and rolling on my back.
This afternoon I only went into the field to play with my ball. Ann was intending taking me back down to the beach and then round the town but it was sooooooo cold, that she just took me into the field to play with my ball. I love, love, love, playing with my ball and the good thing about playing with a ball from Ann's point of view is that I get tired out really quickly.
…...........And the good thing about it being so cold from Ann's point of view is that we get to test out how efficient the heating is in cold weather. As our regular followers will know; we have homes in Edinburgh and St Ives and when we're not here, we rent out our home to holiday makers and obviously we want them to be warm and cosy. This is probably going against BLIP rules as it may be considered to be advertising, but we have a lovely little house in St Ives – Sleeps two (& your 'woofer' is free), car parking, south facing sun terrace, 5 mins from the beaches and town (OK, 10 mins back as it's up hill) and fully equipped with everything you could want. If anyone is interested in a break before Easter, then you can check out our house here.
Happy Tuesday Evening Blippers.
