Red Bird in the morning...

...sailors take warning.  Well, the saying is red sky actually and it was blazing this morning along with Clarence my kooky cardinal who took a few minutes off from pecking at his reflection in my windows to grab some seeds.  We have a bad and potentially dangerous storm on the way tonight and tomorrow.  It will start with significant snowfall and end in a deluge of rain. This will be no "gentle" storm like the one on Sunday.  Sigh... I had to rescue Lily the Lady Beetle from the soapy dishpan last night.  I really thought she was a gonner this time but after about an hour she wandered away.  I think that was her 4th near death experience!
