Several ducks, three mergansers and a heron.

And probably a few other birds which I haven’t noticed.
As normal we went along to the Kelpies but when my feet started to slip on getting out of the car, we decided to play safe and go elsewhere. Later, when the frost had lifted a bit, we went down to the canal and found it perfectly safe. Whether it is the time of year I don’t know but it looks like the bird life is starting to pair up for the year!
Later we picked up Miss E from school as Alison was working a little later today. Lot of chat about her upcoming birthday and fun with the lovely Rosa (today’s extra) who is every bit as exuberant as our Chloe.
