IT'S MONO MONDAY

It is Mono Monday and the theme is "Geometric."

This is one of three climate controlled geodesic domes as part of Mitchell Park Conservatory in Milwaukee, Wisconsin U.S.A.  Three large glassed domes exhibit plant communities from around the world:

1) This is the Arid Dome and it displays desert biome plants year round.
2) There's also a Tropical Dome which displays plants of rain forest biomes year round.
3) There's also the Show Dome which showcases plants and seasonal displays not shown in the other two domes.  It is changed regularly to feature seasonal plants and seasonal displays...Christmas, Easter, etc. One really fun one is when the model railroad club sets up model railroads all over the domes.  It's really fantastic.

It's a wonderful place to visit. A word to the wise: if you are coming in from the outside in winter and your camera gear is cold, visit the Arid Dome first to allow your gear to come to temperature in a dry environment. If you visit the Tropical Dome first your lenses all fog up big time.
