Easy to walk past or wonder why some eejit is on his knees taking a photo of it.

This post is at the east end of Princes Street, outside what was once the Edinburgh Post Office HQ. Consequently, all Edinburgh postal codes radiate outwards from this post, it was also used as a marker to gauge all distances to and from the city. As if that’s not enough, all street numbers begin at the end of the street that’s closest to this post. So it’s a very important post. If not a very interesting one.

Apart from that I had a cuppa and a business chat in the very swanky surroundings of the Gleneagles Townhouse before heading back home to rage against HMRC before making dinner.
