View from Fort Charles Albert

Being so close to the border, it is rather unsurprising that Aussois is surrounded by several forts. Before dinner we decided to go and look for them as a group. The view of the village from the top was spectacular.

Two of our party decided to venture further, which was fine until they were running late for dinner. We had to ask our hosts in so-so French if it would be possible to put two dinners aside, with one of them vegan. Five minutes later, three courses of vegan and "normale" with all the bells and whistles were ready for their return. Our hosts at the Centre Paul-Langevin have been fantastic, going above and beyond to make sure we have an enjoyable stay.
