Mural? Graffiti?

After a busy Christmas we are now at New Year's Eve and a walk downtown to see some of the murals L had spotted on an earlier walk.  I have put a couple in the xtras.  I have enjoyed learning more about the history and the buildings that grace the downtown area.  There are a number of interesting Art Deco architectures on display.  Then there are the more creative murals here, the main one is particularly good, as though it appears to be 3D, it is just an excellent example of perspective.  We also walked out under the railway lines and immediately met a few African American wanderers in an affordable housing community that was literally "on the other side of the tracks."

In the evening the family came round to enjoy a downtown ice cream and then probably the best view of the fireworks from our balcony.  I posted photos of the firework view last year.
