digging up dirt

I did a little investigative reporting today. Went down to Hudson River to see if there was a giant government or corporate scandal to bring into the light of truth. This is a mammoth project over a decade, involving billions of GE and taxpayer dollars. EPA Hudson River Site
The entire river bottom has been surveyed to 1/100 of an inch. The barges, dredges, and cranes are GPS and satellite linked to a central command and work within tolerance of 1/10 of an inch. River levels, currents and air quality are continuously monitored by small robots. But as the photo reveals one submerged tree prevents the clamshell from closing and all the PCB's which were in the mud now are floating down river to New York City. This happened on two out of three scoops from the river bottom. Yet the they tell us, "all is working well, we know what we are doing." Photos can expose the truth.
