Bright Sunny Day

A lovely bright, dry and sunny day but chilly, we set off late morning with our neighbours for a cycle ride from home, intending to cycle to The Forest of Dean.

After cycling 4.5 miles, we arrived at The Swing Bridge over The River Wye, Biblins, Symonds Yat (Herefordshire, UK) to find the bridge was closed due to the recent floods. The detour to get to the other side would have been about ten miles, so the decison was made to head to  Ye Old Ferrie Inn  (1473AD) - shown in the extra - where we sat in the lovely atmospheric pub with views over the river Wye, and our bikes, for ninety minutes for coffee and chat.


The main photo' is of the lovely blue sky and contrasting white clouds over our local Coppett Hill, Goodrich (Herefordshire, UK) as we cycled on the footpath alongside the A40 on the way home. Not what we planned but nice to get out for a few hours!
