Goldfinch

Love the colours of these birds.  Added to which we had a wonderful blue sky day.  So for this blipper, it was heaven!  I had a long walk with my camera this morning and got the shot fairly early on.  The reserve was obviously closed, but I took this from the other side of the river which comprises one of its boundaries.  The rest of the walk was mud, a pontoon footbridge which I put one foot on and realised had come apart from it's supports and was floating (hasty retreat), swans, ducks, a grey wagtail and a bus home.
