Baldonnel Flight Museum

Went up to Casement Aerodrome with Mum today to keep her company at the annual remembrance service for serving and former Irish service members who'd passed away during the year. Her wedding reception took place in the room we had coffee in after the service so rather tough for her.

We were invited to the aerospace museum on site, and after a rather blustery walk we arrived. It's not big but they do a great job with the resources they have. One exhibit that confused me was this jet engine. I spent far too long looking at it trying to figure out where its turbine stages were before eventually copping it's a centripetal engine rather than a turbine engine.
