Beautiful Bassenthwaite

It was -2 and very foggy this morning as we drove to the Lake. Me and Clare didn’t go but the others did. It was lovely hearing their squeaks and squeals as they got into the water.

A full Cumbrian breakfast at Bassenthwaite Lake Station. It was a treat for Clare and Caroline who have birthdays this week. It was good to hear about everyone’s Christmas shenanigans.

There was a minor car accident just outside our house. Fortunately it was cleared by the time arrived home. Someone went to hospital in an ambulance.

Tom and I had a walk along the ridge and I tackled a huge pile of ironing.
