Martin Mere

A gorgeous day and a very enjoyable day out. What I like about Martin M is that it's possible to take lots of photos. Lots of wild  birds and also the collection birds. The collection birds are pinioned  - their flight feathers are cut - but still, great to watch. Today I loved watching the displaying goldeneye & mandarins.

Wild side whoopers - that's why I go. Also a barn owl & 2 others near home. Lovely blue tit & goldfinch form the hide with the reflection pool & a pintail trio.
