I've backblipped for the past week of my trip away but this blip was taken after Mum and I had been to the Thanksgiving service for our friend Janet who after three battles succumbed to cancer this month, she was a lovely, lovely lady and the village church was full with some more mourners having to stand.

One brilliant and amusing fact about Janet's life is that she was the first woman to get a degree in mechanical engineering from University College London - she had to use the staff toilets as they did not have facilities for female students!

I spent the rest of the afternoon with Mum and Dad and tonight sort of packed for a night away to see The Killers tomorrow.
