Threave Castle Nature Reserve

Today's the day ...................... to be at ease

Lovely to have a visit today from my Cousin Sandra (see extra), who is on holiday with friends at present and staying not far from us.

We took her for a walk round the Threave Castle Nature Reserve near Castle Douglas, which we had pretty much to ourselves.  This is the view looking down to the Castle, built on an island in the middle of the River Dee.  There were four deer grazing in the field below us that hardly gave us a second look.

All was content and peaceful in this little part of the country ....................
