Jelly ear fungus

It’s stopped raining. And, what’s more, it hasn’t rained all day. Yet.
 I went out for a walk in the muddy woods and found various fungi growing. 
It was lovely, sunny and some snowdrops nearly out. 
The river is still high though.
I’m going to put in an extra of something growing on a bit of dead branch, I’m curious to know whether it might be a slime mould.
Edit. Having looked it up I think it’s myxarium nucleatum,  a fungus.
