Male Chaffinch ( Fringilla coelebs )

On Wednesday I got a report of a single Whooper Sawn on the Pond/tarn/small area of water at Cocklakes Base Camp.  As it is just a couple of miles up the road we needed a few things we could get from the farm shop and hopefully a shot of the Swan.

The Swan was there but sadly at the other end of the pond.  Too far away for anything other than an identification shot.  Which I might add later as an extra.  It will be massively cropped.

Walking back to the shop this male Chaffinch posed conveniently in a Hawthorn.  So that is the blip.
