Solstice Sailing

There's a lot going on today.

It's Shetland's Flag Day so there are lots of flags about.

It's the longest day of the year and on Shetland that means an awful lot of daylight, even if it has been grey and misty daylight for most of the day.

There are three different North Sea sailing events at the moment, which all converge on Shetland this weekend, and that means that there are about 80 yachts in the harbour in Lerwick . The harbour really does look - and sound - good with lots of masts.

And it's my Mum's birthday - Happy Birthday!
