Turk's Cap Lilies

Amazing the things you find growing in your neighbours' garden! Ollie and I called round today and wandered up through their wonderfully wild and interesting garden and woodland. These are a Martagon type of lily, and although they look beautiful, they have quite a strong, slightly unpleasant scent. Good job they are growing well away from the house!

Working in the craft shop this afternoon - the place was thronged with tourists. Lots of really nice folk, from as far away as Canada and Slovakia. I feel we should have a map on the wall so visitors can put a pin in where they have come from . . .
