Infamous

Our favorite booth at our favorite breakfast spot was featured in a scene in a 1996 horror film, Thinner. It starred Robert Burke, Joe Mantegna, Lucinda Jenney and Michael Constantine; the film was based on Stephen King’s 1984 novel of the same name • The film was shot in various places in Maine: Appleton, Augusta, Belfast, Camden, Kittery, Portland and Thomaston • I had read the book but never had seen the movie until we moved here and found this framed autograph. The critics weren’t wrong, it’s a terrible movie, but the frame is still hanging on the same wall in the same place above the now infamous booth • Peace & Love
