I was rescued from a morning of sorting out kitchen cupboards by Grace, who agreed to walk into town with me and look at the floods. This level of water is something we are well used to in Shrewsbury now but it never ceases to amaze me, this incredible volume of water. We walked over the Welsh and English Bridges, along with the rest of the residents of Shrewsbury, to take it all in. Fascinating to look at, horrendous for those who’s homes and businesses are constantly fearing these events.

We accidentally went into Majestic Wines on the way home, bought some wine, then deeply regretted it about half of the way home.

An afternoon of finishing the kitchen cupboards, reading and more holiday research.
