WINTER VISITOR

A dopping* of goosanders has recently appeared on the pond in the park. I've seen some there in previous winters so I assume they just think it's a good place to stay for a while.

*The collective noun, apparently. Who makes these names up?

The Wild Girls are coming round this evening. It will be a subdued gathering and Sally will be much missed.
