Bedford Town Bridge

Invited to the opening of Bedford's Museum which had been closed for over two years for refurbishment. On the way back to my car took this photo of Bedford's main bridge over the River Great Ouse.
No trace remains of Bedford's Medieval Bridge, which was demolished in 1811 and replaced by the present bridge on the same site.
Viewed large gives a better impression
