18 years ago

Today would have been my 18th wedding anniversary. Technically, I guess it still is as I’m still legally married to him.

This man isn’t my husband. It’s my amazing Grandaddy! He basically raised me with my Nan and when I got married it was always going to be him who gave me away.

We bought our wedding forward to make sure this could happen. He had been diagnosed with cancer just after we got engaged. Six weeks after this photo was taken he was no longer with us, three months before our original wedding date.

My marriage may not have lasted but mostly it was a happy one, and it gave me my beautiful daughter so I can never regret it!
