went to the next village to see if any Waxwings were around 30 reported around 9am by the time I got there they had gone. Hung around for an hour along with about a dozen others but no show.
Came home and thought I would gave a go at the garden birds and got a few tits 
We had a message from the hospital that BIL was being discharged so hung around waiting for the call which eventually came around 4.30. By this time the traffic was pretty bad and to make it worse they hadn't got his medication ready.
 By the time we got him home it was 6, he is very weak so we had a job getting him into the house. We then got him a drink and settled into his chair.
We both feel that he shouldn't have been sent home, if a taxi had taken him he could not have got to his door.
Addenbrookes Hospital is a mess 6 hours to discharge someone and still not have the medication  
we have had a bit of sun and rain but less wind
