Pancakes and Milkshakes

Yesterday’s events in Japan were very difficult for many. Our apartment shook a little bit and we went outside to get to safer ground and waited for the shockwaves. Thankfully Nagoya wasn’t affected heavily but it certainly got us consolidating our emergency pack at home. We spent the day gathering items for our emergency pack at home: emergency blankets, batteries, torches, portable toilets, extra towels, bandages, etc. We’ve got our pack pretty solid now sans emergency long life food and water (the instant rice is unbelievable).

After all the preparedness we went out to eat some pancakes and milkshakes. You wouldn’t think a massive earthquake occurred as Nagoya was still hustling and busting with people and tourists.
