Grey Heron

Making my way up to the loch this morning I noticed 4 heron on the Tenement roof (see extra). They appear to be facing the wrong way but they are looking down into the park. The one second from the left spotted me and led the flight down to the park. It still blows me away watching them fly down. A further one flew over from the dovecote and I fed them at the entrance. There were two considerate dog walkers who put their dogs on leads and watched from a distance. I then made my way to the clearing crossing the slope. The adult male met me had a few bits then flew to the clearing. I was followed there by the little female (pictured) and the juvenile female. I fed them a bit more then made for home feeding the crows as I went!
