Christmas Carol
Backhousia myrtifolia or Grey Myrtle is flowering nicely in local parkland right now. Wikipedia says that it was popular as a cut flower for some time, especially since it produces lots of attractive blooms at Christmas. Which caused it to be given the common name of Christmas Carol in some parts of the country. I blipped it about 12 months ago, with some more info.
