Dahlia

Home grown.
5th year of trying .  . . . Result at last .
I love dahlias. 
My father grew many varieties when I was a child. I remember he had flowerpots attached to posts at each of the plants. The pots were filled with newspaper and every morning my sisters and I went sent to unravel the newspaper and kill the destructive insects that hid there. 
( I feel quite guilty now).
