In Rye Harbour Nature Reserve

Before the nature reserve was created the area was exploited for aggregates hence the lake which are old gravel pits . I asume this must have been weighing scales for the gravel. It is now surrounded by trees bushes and fields and stand like a monument from a time gone by.
