The pleasures of Pipers on 2 January

Sadly, no soup. A bit like Meikle Ferry (no ferry). But there were some baked goods and Mr A made good use of the opportunity to have a millionaires shortbread with his coffee. They had a steady trickle of customers and they were the only coffee shop in the town centre open.

It was all back to normal service today. Dreich cold weather. The type of cold that gets into your bones. I returned to work, although it's still a holiday in Scotland. I was mainly doing peer review stuff, and handling a few emails (although the build up is minuscule....people really do stop over Christmas and New Year). More peer review tomorrow, then eye-balling some data on Thursday and Friday, with the possibility of writing a short paper for our management group.
