Christmas card tree
Laura was feeling much better this morning, and it had been more than five days since the beginning of symptoms, so she was able to keep her planned breakfast out with one of her former university friends who still lives in the area. When she got back, late morning, it was time to head down to the airport for her flight to Chicago and then on to Wausau. Wausau is only a tiny airport, and doesn’t have many flights, so she had a really long wait, and then her ongoing flight was delayed, but she finally made it, but it made for a really long day!
It was another dismal day, so it didn’t entice me out for a walk. So it was another day of Duolingo ( - I’m up to 700 days now), knitting, reading, and doing a bit of tidying up around the house. In the evening we watched a great Nature TV program on all the different species of penguins. For my blip I chose the Christmas cards on our Christmas tree card holder. We’re still getting cards from England and France - they’re taking so long to cross the “pond”. We got a message from Roger’s sister just the other day - they had just received ours - posted on December 11th!
