Still summer.
Midsummer actually but as we have had forecasts of rain and cooler temperatures, this afternoon was a pleasant surprise. Thought I would pop out to get a bit of that mid summer feel before it is too late!
This is Leech Lane, part of the Senior Way and a foot path to Goit Stock, at the top of our village main street. It also leads to a few houses above Goit Stock which is why it is wide enough for vehicles.
You can see the original stone gate post at the top here and beyond, in the distance, is the village of Wilsden.
The Hawthorne blossom is nearly finished and the Cow Parsley loosing its flower heads but it is a lovely, leafy lane showing how rural our 'urban village' is.
