A favourite tree…

… Another back blip.
(From a trip into town yesterday).
Very ‘Magic Faraway Tree’ ish.

Town was busy.
I’d popped in for a few essentials to jolly up New Years Eve.
The supermarket had been savaged by a swarm of locusts, so I returned with only some half-price Christmas cards. (I stood, choosing them, beside a woman of a similar age to myself who audibly sighed. I said, ‘you’re thinking that if you buy them now you won’t remember them next December aren’t you?’
It seems we’re all the same).

We had an ordinary meal and didn’t stay up to bring in the New Year.
No zest for it this year, but may it be one of Good Health and Much Happiness.
