Chocolate coins

These were in every present Paul gave out this Christmas, and they always made us jump when they fell out while unwrapping the gift.

A bit of time in the garden this morning, trying to tame the massive ivy that’s growing up one of the fences and keeps threatening one of my fir trees. A never-ending battle.

Then I actually went round to a friends for dinner this evening with another couple. I don’t usually do much for new years eve (although I will quite often stay up) but I took advantage of the invitation as Paul was going out too. A nice evening but I came back before midnight, having got a lift from Paul on his way home, so we saw the new year in at home after all.
