Visitors

I took Django for a walk to the far south of the Estate, passing the Ramsay Obelisk (see extra) and then headed north through the heart of the Estate. 

Back home, I relaxed for a while, before starting to cook for the visitors who were coming to eat some time in the afternoon. We've known them for 25 years, but have seen little of them for the past few years, and last time they called two years ago, A and L were away in Costa Rica. Always interesting to talk to, one is an academic anthropologist who has just completed a high level (literally!) chain saw course and works part time as a tree surgeon.

After the visitors had gone, attention turned to L, who is leaving tomorrow to work for two months in an eco retreat in Costa Rica - as she has for the past three winters.
