Flood
It's becoming a regular occurance recently, the River Severn rising and flooding the surrounding area. This is the channel between the river and the Worcester and Birmingham Canal, alongside where we live. The first two lock gates are virtually under water, the third is holding up, I'm not sure how they do it but the canal stays at the same level, thankfully.
We went to Croome Court this morning, or should I say attempted to go there. Even though it was just after eleven, the car park had a full notice at the entrance and the road was getting blocked with parked cars, the staff had started putting bollards out to stop any more parking. Needless to say we drove on and made our way back to Worcester and parked up by Cafe Afloat. Although fairly busy we managed to get a table and a coffee.
It was whilst there we took a walk to look at the river.
Not on theme (besides the fact the time stamp is 2024) but I thought B&W suited the picture. Thanks to steveng for hosting Mono Monday this month.
