Reflective
The last 4 months of 2023 were an absolute pig - with redundancies at work (from which I'm safe, but which has basically halved my team's size, created a lot of bad feeling, and, crucially, the organisation changes that are behind it all don't actually mean any less work for us, meaning we're looking at outsourcing during 2024, which will likely be more expensive than if they'd retained people, those people have in depth knowledge of the business...); my father-in-law having a stroke (actually, two, but turned out he wasn't telling us about some falls he'd had - thankfully he's on the mend); and two days ago Harris had to be rushed to the vet, and underwent a minor, but emergency, procedure, that saw him kept in until today (now home with us fretting over his every move...).
Some things are going to have to change in 2024!
