Happy New Year to everyone on blipfoto, especially those who follow me.
It is a lovely start to the year with blue sky, very cold, 4c, and showery rain. I have been out walking to clock up hopefully at least 6000 steps by the end of the day. I don't make rigid resolutions but walking or doing 6000 steps a day is a realistic intention. So far, I have walked 4836 steps including a visit to the canal where 30 or so Canada Geese had gathered. Tabby cat appeared too so that was a lovely surprise. I have enjoyed my Christmas celebrations with delicious meals and treats, but now I need to shed 4 pounds. With all the rain, it has not been great weather for walking. Hopefully January will be kind to us.
Prayers for peace and happiness especially for those suffering in The Holy Land, Ukraine and Japan after their earthquake.
We are having a quiet New Year's Day enjoying The Ghost of Canterville and looking forward to Miss Potter at 6pm. We will play some card games in the afternoon.
