Out with the old, in with the new..?

This bungalow is just up the hill from where I live, it has commanding views over Northallerton and the Vale of Mowbray towards the Yorkshire Dales.

I met the lady who lived here during our street Jubilee celebrations last year, she had lived in the bungalow for decades but at 80+ it was getting too much for her. She has bought a more manageable place on our estate and the developers have moved in.

I feared they would tear the old place down but it appears it is to be modernised with two other bungalows being built within the grounds. It seems the advertised mature gardens have been temporarily removed but I'm pleased to see the old and new can live side by side, albeit snugly...
