That was a surprise

I woke this morning remembering that it’s only three weeks until both my brothers’ birthdays (they are three years and a day apart in age). I decided I’d sit at the art table and see if inspiration might appear. 

It is months since I sat there, and I didn’t have high expectations. But to my amazement as soon as I loaded a brush with paint, the mojo returned and I had a fabulous couple of hours daubing away. 

They are nothing like finished, but I made a much better start than I expected. A week or so of daily sessions should see them done.

The blip shows several pictures in progress. I’ll work on all six and make a decision about who gets what as they develop.

Unfortunately I’m using oil paints, which won’t dry in time to post the pictures to arrive on the right days. So I’ll photograph the results and email them, then mail the originals once they are completely dry.

It has been sunny all day and I’ve done a heap of jobs outdoors.

All in all a good start to 2024.
