It Never Fails...

All "Holds" come at once!...

Today meant a trip to the library to pick up the latest ones...The stack of books to read through the holidays and the onset of winter has just become unmanageable...It is time to prioritize. Library books, of course,  have to move to the top of the list; the ones I have recently purchased  and am also anxious to read, will have to wait...

Meanwhile, I have been totally immersed in Fire Weather: The Making of a Beast.. bouncing back and forth between the vivid descriptions in the book of wildfires that went beyond what anyone had ever seen or could imagine and online video footage that make those descriptions come alive....It has been hard to put that book down...so much to learn.and understand...

Another quiet day in this household... not much happening other than the gradual removal of Christmas decor .. best to do that in tiny bits that go relatively unnoticed in order to avoid the sudden shock of a treeless room and the disappearance of all things bright and shiny! The house will seem so empty when all that is stored away..It will be the lights that I will miss most..Maggie of course will rue the loss of her newly discovered napping spot under the tree...but she will manage...she has many cosy spots in which to nap ...
