old Bixby Ranch structure

the roofless structure (behind the wall) is what's left of an old Bixby Ranch complex that was used by the ranch hands (sheepherders) in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I have no idea why the present owner keeps it... but I think it's cool that it is still there.
The house that used to be near it was torn down a couple of years ago and was replaced by a very stylish contemporary California/Spanish style McMansion. They did a nice job - it's a pretty home - but it lacks everything the old house had lots of.
